F.A.L.T.U is opposite it's title

The title is F.A.L.T.U, but the film isn’t. Right from the beginning through the end, it stands out as a uniquely different and pleasingly interesting film, which you (certainly) watch and enjoy; without any conditions. Cleverly directed with an honest touch of realism, F.A.L.T.U is a value for money, a treat for soul and senses, with almost (no) loo breaks.

This 'Game' doesn't excite

You can’t play this ‘Game’ with zest and joy. Despite being made with pure visual delight, detailing many minute things; the suspense thriller ends up as a character-crowded story, with (little) to thrill about.

The story spins around four individuals, who are troubled and they are here to only multiply their troubles. So, we meet a casino owner in Istanbul, Neil Menon (Abhishek Bachchan), a Bombay-based Bollywood star- Vikram Kapoor (Jimmy Shergill), a leading prime ministerial candidate of Thailand- O.P.Ramsay (Boman Irani), a crime journalist from London- Tisha Khanna (Shahana Goswami). All of them are sharing one common thing: A troubled and uncertain life because of their (bad) karma. Neil Menon has to pay a good amount of money to his creditors, which is impossible for him. Vikram Kapoor hits a girl with his car one rainy day and then buries her half dead fearing she could earn his career troubles. O.P.Ramsay is to face mass wrath if scams of his party get exposed. And Tisha Khanna has been caught for drunk driving.

Happy Husbands doesn't make a happiness

Happy Husbands hatches happiness for neither husbands nor their wives. The reason? The story tries to be a tricky eye-opener for husbands, who want to have extramarital affairs. But it fails so miserably in parts that you may feel like the tricks have lost their substances while happiness has gone for a toss, much before the film concludes. Of course, the flick’s humours make the week light-hearted (because Monica isn’t). But then they are overdone so much that being a serious viewer, you may want to skip it for anything better i.e., watching highlights of the latest India vs. Australia cricket match.

Battle: Los Angeles is gripping, but not for masses

Science Fiction film! The genre (up till now) is so cosmic, woolly and metaphorical that it scales above an average candy-flow definition. Mainstream science may quash the existence of extraterrestrial life force, extrasensory perception, alien phenomenon, robots, supernatural technologies and beyond-normal spacecraft, but movie makers, as they are, love to play with their fantasies i.e., mulling over the extra ordinary, superbly different occurrences. From Georges Melies' A Trip to the Moon to Lucas’s Star Wars, and more; there have been beyond the point developments in science fiction films. Jonathan Liebesman’s newest Battle: Los Angeles (aka Battle: LA and World Invasion: Battle Los Angeles) joins the same league with yet another flood of superlative adventures, misadventures and surprises. There’s nothing remarkable in it if you think you have had enough of sci fi actions, but still it is certainly not a passé because of its excellent storytelling, brilliant action sequences and thoughtful editing.

Keep a good faasla fromYeh Faasley :-(

How's it? :-(

The film begins. It matures. It ends. Between its runtime, you make friendship with boredom, you reactivate patience and at last, you believe it would have been nicer if you had kept a good faasla from Yeh Faasley. To be true and to be sad, the film is a complete disappointment despite having a brilliant story. It could have been a way better make, but a slapdash screenplay, poor camerawork and undervalued dialogues killed it completely, making it neither but a mix of suspense, drama and murder mystery.
