The Dirty Picture is all about Balan

As the unofficial biopic of a famously erotic personality from showbiz, it has to acknowledge the vastly sexual nature of its subject. At the same time, exploiting this very attribute to explicitly titillate could mar its credibility. And that's where director Milan Luthria pulls off a masterstroke.

In terms of creativity, it's a middling effort. But where bravado is concerned, The Dirty Picture kicks ass by virtue of three very strong reasons: Vidya Balan. Vidya Balan. Vidya Balan.

Ra.One depresses :(

Starring Khan alongside Kareena Kapoor and Arjun Rampal, Ra.One, on the one hand, has special effects that no Hindi movie can boast of so far, but on the other, it is saddled with an almost 1990s-style treatment with songs popping out of nowhere and dialogues that make you cringe.

MURDER 2 is for restricted people :(

If Murder is a brand, its sequel Murder 2 neither extends its good value nor does it put it in disrepute. It churns out a mixed feeling – not too good, not too bad. With a new story and set of new characters, it is an altogether different film in Murder franchise, which somehow works because of its erotic content and some timely put violent scenes.
